Under the leadership of Maricruz Morales of Napa, California, we established the
where women have the opportunity to learn and practice various beauty techniques, such as henna, threading,
haircutting, manicure/pedicure as well as make-up application and design.
Proect Shakti also maintains a scholarship fund for young women whose families cannot afford the costs of education.
VOLUNTEER WORK WITH PROJECT SHAKTI
Project Shakti provides training in variety of skills such as sewing, tailoring, beauty and grooming to underprivileged women in Varanasi, India. This project has made possible the inauguration of the Shakti Beauty School where women have the opportunity to learn various beauty techniques, such as henna, threading, haircutting, manicure/pedicure, and make-up application and design.
